In Sept 2012 I finally made it to Africa! Swiss flight to Nairobi, arrival, visa issuing (at a strange exchange rate if you are not paying in USD), and then the first transfer.
The plan was to be in Kenya for about a week (4nights in Masai Mara, 2 nights in Amboseli), then go to Victoria falls for 4 nights (staying on the Zimbabwe side) with a one night stay in Johannesburg, and then fly to Cape town and the south part of South Africa for another 6 nights. So ready to go, with malaria prophylaxis pills, all clothes sprayed against mosquitoes and other insects we hit the road.
The first night we were at the House of Waine to start early next day. After the first early morning wake up call, first of many I should say, a breakfast and the driver was waiting for us. The car ride to the Wilson airport kicked-off the real holidays trip.
