The Ticino trip and some observations

1. People in Ticino (Italian part of Switzerland) speak Italian... in some cased other languages but predominantly Italian. Hopefully, you speak Italian when you go there!
2. People of all ages go hiking. It was amazing to see old people, probably 70+, with canes ot without - people go hiking!
3. In the restaurant in Locarno, an elderly couple was sitting on the next table and it felt so good to see them enjoying the small things of life having a nice dinner.
4. If someone was sitting in the train across from you and sleeps during the whole trip, he could say "Bye" like you've had a contact whatsoever.
5. You can meet people who have had a presentation and have tried getting a contract from your company :) and you could have got a nice tea sample :)
6. Many Swiss people speak English in addition to German, French and English (on the train to Locarno, we saw a woman who was speaking in Italian with 2 guys and we thought that she is Italian Swiss. When the guys left, she switched in German, Swiss German with her friend)
7. If you see girls looking like American cowgirls with the typical hats, don't think that they are necessary Americans. They could be Swiss speaking Swiss German and English too :)
8. When you order Tequila sunrise, don't expect to see the sunrise in you glass
9. You can find a lot of old stuff - cable trains, trains, some buildings and their furniture. However everything is clean and well maintained which make you feel like all is fine and new.
